Government by Remote Control - Can't Turn the Channel

How many Premiers does it take to screw in a light bulb?

and yet - the light bulb still did not work.

The title suggests many things - but I will start here.

How is it that Kathy Dunderdale resigned before Ed Martin?

How is it  she was essentially fired by a caucus that did not insist on the removal of Ed Martin.

Who do permanent interim everything Marshall and incompetent Energy guru Martin work for? Is he still there?

"Carry on Government" - the title of a feature tragic comedy - where a resource wealthy jurisdiction is controlled by a megalomaniac - through puppets of convenience. NOTE: Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. It is at times like these that I miss the artistic works of Jerome Kennedy. Surely he can do at least a Limerick on this - of course in collaboration with one of the Loyola's.

Kathy Dunderdale's resignation will be the subject of the next post. I promise!!! Sounds like I'm considering political office.

Sue you posed the question "How many Premiers does it take to screw in a light bulb"?

and yet - the light bulb still did not work".

MY ANSWER is every one of them and not one of them did what was right for our well endowed resource-rich province that held a great strategic location situated on all parts of the North Atlantic Ocean Trade routes, a place where the resources could have been processed and shipped away to the markets of the world very easily. Shame on ALL the politicians who have been elected down through the past 65 years, who held the reins of power for not using your brains and getting everything down pat. Everything was at your fingertips and it could have been a cinch to have created the best economy in the whole wide-World in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Why did it not happen? Was it because those in power were greedy and corrupt and just worked on their own behalf or was it for the lack of grey matter? Yes, We not only had the resources needed we had the potential energy to have run the top economy in the Whole Wide World. I know you had one formidable enemy, that being Ottawa because it wanted everything to develop the Center into what it became, but didn't you have morals to have bargained with Ottawa for our fair share of our Wealth? That is the reason we elected you in the first place and ALL of You we elected FAILED US MISERABLY!

Not that I supported Kathy, but she really seems to have been forced to take the bag for dozens of our people who still have their jobs.
