out of the entire KD speech and Marshall's comments, THAT is what you decide to jump on? That word stood out to you as something significant and worth bringing to everyone's attention? wow, you aren't anti-tory at all. u r a fair and unbiased political commentator indeed.
Actually - I will be dealing with the Premier's resignation in a later post. No I am not anti-anything nor am I a partisan zealot. You are anonymous - are you partisan - what is your name? As for the new Premier - he is experienced and should be careful with the words he uses and in what context. He should also remember the words he spoke when he committed to people. I do not support the Willians/Dunderdale/Marshall government. That's not anti-PC. Perhaps the new Premier can withdraw the comment.
i'm not partisan but will acknowledge classy speech (KD) and a well respected, very professional politician (had a little difficulty typing those 5 words together!) in Marshall. Not a zealot but you suggest that the new premier might want to withdraw his comment??? An obvious slip of the tongue and if not a zealot, then you would see it as just that.
I have no objection to Ms. Kelland-Dyer highlighting that rather bizarre wording at all, and then I will go further to comment on 'KD's' speech.. The first four fifths of it reamed off her lips with ease, just mantra and propaganda. She had read out all of that a few times already, most recently just before Christmas. The final fifth of her speech where she actually addressed departure was where she faltered. Yes she was just about cornered into resignation in the end. Not the way I suspect she had intended to go out.
Try again - the post immediately before this one - reflects on the Hydro privatization battle with a Liberal government. Of course he should correct the comment.
Minister Marshall indicated he felt history would judge her more kindly than the current treatment would indicate. Perhaps he did feel the treatment was a transgression (impropriety) against the Premier and it wasn't a slip at all.
I believe you could be right. So the media - inserting what they thought he meant to say is wrong. I wanted Tom to explain what he meant. Maybe there is more we should know.
