Harper = Pavlov & Media = Dog

Robert Fife CTV's Ottawa Bureau Chief tweeted the following this morning:

PM Harper delivers major foreign policy speech in NYC & meets Palestinian and Israeli leaders but refuses to talk to Cdn media.

Oh what a shock - Harper says no to Canada's media. Yet these media stations, papers, and reporters continue to cover whatever is thrown to them by the PMO.

I think it's possible - based on Harper's actions - that he too may have been subject to behavioral study when he was a young and budding right wing fanatic.

In either case Harper loves behavioral science and he loves his subjects of study - the media.

Imagine going through a federal election campaign and stating that he would only answer 5 questions a day. Imagine telling the media he will not address them while calling them for a news conference. Yet this is the case time and time again.

Harper started by recognizing the signals that caused media to respond. He changed that by not answering questions when media expected he would. He then went on to teach them that by covering  PMO releases and events they would be rewarded by a determined number of questions. It has almost become a competition among the journalists to see who Harper will recognize.

Harper will - as he has already done with much of Canadiana - eliminate normal media relations and guide them into a White House briefing style of coverage.

It is long since time that the journalists find the courage necessary to present Canadians with information and facts. If this means behavioral change in Stephen Harper so-be-it. The media must become intelligence scientists and the PM's behavior their subject of study.

Canada has sunk to new lows as Harper lies and deceives without consequence and our children watch his office as something to aspire to.

The country needs a dozen like Terry Milewski of the CBC - if not then a dozen who will stand behind him as he breaks Harper's Pavlovian experiment.

Hypothetical Harper refuses to Speculate - must Speculate that Canadians are fools

The following is a quote from Harper - yesterday - at the end of the campaign:

"I'm not going to speculate on hypotheticals." — Prime Minister Stephen Harper refuses to comment on what he'd do if the Governor General gave Harper's hypothetical, NDP-led coalition the reins of power.

The following are quotes from Harper throughout the campaign:

"I have been quite clear on the choices in this election, the choices between a stable majority Conservative government where we have an economy on the right track [and] a reckless haphazard coalition formed with the NDP and the Bloc and the Liberals and the only thing they actually agree on is increasing taxes."

The Conservatives release their platform, including a five-page chapter called Here for Law-Abiding Canadians that refers repeatedly to an "Ignatieff-led Coalition."

For example: "In spite of obstruction from the Ignatieff-led Coalition, Stephen Harper's government has managed to pass a number of important measures to protect the vulnerable, and hold criminals accountable."

In Markham, Harper continued to sound the coalition alarm: "If we win this election, they've already decided they'll vote against our next budget. So on it goes. Another attempt at a coalition and another election."

"Our first preference was to have a debate with the leader of the coalition," said Harper. "Mr. Ignatieff insisted his first preference was to have his coalition partners at the debate."

Harper says new immigrants to Canada "don't want members of Parliament who are going to be part of an Ignatieff government put in office by the NDP and Bloc Québécois even if they don't win the election."

Stephen Harper, after meeting the Governor General to dissolve Parliament, immediately urges voters to give him a majority to stave off a "reckless opposition coalition." Extended quote: "Canadians need to understand clearly, without any ambiguity: Unless Canadians elect a stable, national majority, Mr. Ignatieff will form a coalition with the NDP and Bloc Québécois.

Stephen Harper must believe Canadians are fools - you and I are fools.

Enabling bad behavior is not what we support when raising our own children. We have to become hypocrites to vote for Stephen Harper.

Watch Harper rock back and forth to the Soothing Chants of Intolerance

Harper's Canada is certainly exposing itself in the final week of the campaign.

Grass Roots Reform/Alliance/Conservative supporters are asking Harper to "shut down the CBC".

Why you ask?

Well that's it you can't ask - as Terry Milewski - is booed while simply asking a question.

Terry was not even breaking the Harper dictatorial rule of 5 questions. He was asking the same question again and again - as Harper refused to answer.

I have never seen such disgusting, intolerant behavior from a group of partisans in my adulthood.

Control the PMO with ??? people - how many have there been?

Tell people what they can or cannot do as it relates to minorities - do so through fear. Fear of everything and everyone but the Conservative party. This behavior is bordering on sick - and is very dangerous to our democracy.

Harper and company not only became the first to be found in contempt of parliament but also have taken the skill of lying on very big issues to a new level. If given a majority - people may find themselves subject to the treatment suffered by Canadian citizens exercising their protest right at the G8/G20 72 hour spend fest.

No - it truly is time for Harper to leave office and for Canada to begin the recovery needed to return our nation to the proud global status it enjoyed. Harper's need for control and power makes him an unwelcome intruder into our tolerant and stable - socially progressive and economically viable jurisdiction - that we are.

Please view the video here - and look at the people embarrassing our nation - also watch Harper rocks to the soothing chants of intolerance.

Stephen Harper is a Liar - Terry Milewski CBC finally takes him on.

"my people love me" "all my people love me" says Ghadafi - as protests fill the streets of Libya.

"the coalition says no" "the coalition said no to" to various budget measures says Harper - as his government was felled by elected representatives for CONTEMPT of parliament.

When Ghadafi does it - Harper and others says he's a delusional dictator.

When Harper does it - the media reports it and re-reports it and fails to correct the lies Harper continues to perpetrate on the people of Canada.

The only difference is - the people of Canada can throw Harper out politically, peacefully at a ballot box.

The media is doing a disservice to Canadians. We want to talk about issues -socio/economic and talk about trust, integrity, and demand that politicians obey the laws of this country.

CBC just had a political "panel" on the election consisting of Rob Russo, Bureau Chief Ottawa Canadian Press and Tasha Kheiriddin, columnist National Post.

They proceeded to talk about how "coalition" is the issue of the campaign and that the Liberals need to come up with one or two key messages like that to make a difference.

Who made "coalition" the issue of the campaign? They downplayed the role of social media and then went on to talk about the "coalition".

Finally Terry Milewski, senior correspondent Ottawa CBC has taken a stand and stood up to be counted. He has taken Harper to account on the created "coalition" issue and he pointed out that Harper is calling a "coalition" "illegitimate" now when Milewski added in "fact" Harper said the opposite during the Martin minority. He has called Harper out on this major inconsistency - which I would call a lie as he has done with Newfoundland and Labrador, income trusts, elected senates, and on being lawful.

In comparison the last question from a reporter - taken by Harper at a campaign event in Ontario was:

"what are you going to do to get the Maple Leafs back in the playoffs?" What a joke!
