The House of Assembly not opened due to Incompetance? Dunderdale's Action threatens next Generation.

Newfoundland and Labrador politics has entered the ridiculous.

Ministers contact talk shows to go over their spin.

The Premier and the Leader of the Opposition are debating on Twitter.

The brain trust of the public is the local on-air personalities speculating, musing, guessing, and pontificating their ignorance on one subject or another.

Tell me what background in research or otherwise do these people have respecting the most pressing issues in our province?

Experts in various fields have been reduced to communicating via "letters to the editor".

The media is responsible for court, carnage, and republishing government News Releases.

The "open-line" programs are managed - no longer the voice of the common person. One must go through an interview process to get on the air - then leave your telephone number - then wait to see if you will make the program. That is unless you are specific partisan zealots with a predictable commentary on the sitting government.

Listening to Gus Etchegary this morning on Open-Line with Randy Simms - one is reminded again how shortsighted we actually are. This of course will result in economic and social catastrophe in under 25 years.

Talk with Sue and Shannon will delve into the fishery - our history and our future next week. We will try to interview both Gus Etchegary and Dr. Phil Earle on this matter and I trust we will get some good feedback from fishers, plant workers, and community leaders.

I can say for certainty that we as a people can no longer be called the fighting Newfoundlanders or fighting Labradorians. We are losing ourselves more and more everyday; almost like sheep following Dunderdale and colleagues over the cliff.

Wake-up! Your children and grandchildren need more than a roof over their heads.

For months I've been saying the same thing about the unwillingness of Nflders and Labradorians to stand up and voice their concerns. You can write a hundred blogs, make a hundred web sites, post, sing, yell and swear; and they don't move a muscle. I am totally convinced that my, our people, are resigned to follow the wolf en mass; they know they will get eaten but in a herd they stand a better chance of surviving a little longer. Of course they're not beyond pushing someone out like the back-stabbing, low-life, miserable, whiners that they are. I don't think I'm being disrespectful of our people, they disrespect themselves by never doing anything with serious issues. Right now they're willing to sit back and let this present government push through a deal that so many say is not good. But when something trivial takes place they will rise up and threaten to tear the moon out of the sky. And this is what Dunderdale and her pack of coyotes are counting on once again. It's just fortunate that there are some who don't fall into step with the serfs, they will voice their concerns and will use every tool available to educate and inform people who actually take the time to stop and listen or read what is being offered to stimulate their minds and their passion to do something right for a change. It's a hard battle but all one can do is try...keep fighting Sue, you have supporters and I am one of them.

Are Newfoundland and Labrador political leaders born with an inate propensity to be Avaricious and Corrupt?

On paper that is the picture that has emerged to me!
