I feel a natural high today - I have power.
I have the power to take money from the people of Newfoundland and Labrador and spend it as I wish.
I have the power to remove support from the FFAW because they criticize me.
I have the power to threaten members on the other side of the House of Assembly.
I was born a King but now I have become King.
I can say what I want to whomever I want because I have the power.
I can call people names - and if they don't like it - my government and I have the power to punish them.
But I am only King over people - ordinary citizens - I must remember my real masters.
I know it looks hypocritical for me to do it to Earle McCurdy but not to Ches Penney - but I must remember.
I am Darin - Darin the King and I have power.
My party is so powerful - I have even more power.
I am not a servant of the people I am King.
I can hide in the House of Assembly on my throne - where I have power - and I can attack the FFAW - they do not sit in here.
I am King - listen to me - I am King.
I am not a bully - I am King - and the FFAW better get used to it.
I do not bully - I rule with power - absolute power - and my subjects would do well to remember that.
I do not have to answer questions - off with their heads.
I am King - and as you can see - I am all powerful. Let that be a warning to you.
Translated - I completely lack self-confidence, bully to protect my weaknesses, and abuse power because it makes me feel good. I am a teacher - don't you know - and you better learn NOW!
When listening to the radio, watching television or reading the newspapers about events in this province, there seems to be a missing link. One that bridges all that information together and provides a way for people to contribute, express or lobby their concerns in their own time. After-all, this is our home and everyone cannot fit in Lukie's boat and paddle their way to Upper Canada, nor should we!

Bullying Works and Bullying is Rewarded - Right Premier?
The attitude of the Dunderdale administration is progressively getting worse. The underlying message is "we have the power" and apparently they will abuse it.
When we speak of bullies - we think of somebody who might be physically imposing or somebody who surrounds him/herself with goon-like followers. When we speak of bullies we think of people who abuse their perceived power by forcing people to accept their point of view or actions.
Bully is (noun): A person who uses strength or power to harm or intimidate those who are weaker.
Bullying is (verb): Use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants.
Darin King continues to maintain his actions toward the FFAW. It is bullying - and he is a bully.
Kathy Dunderdale and Jerome Kennedy continue to force the Emera deal on Muskrat Falls down our throats - by bullying people who speak up against it.
Look at Stephen Harper - a bully and a liar - he also is the Prime Minister.
If our society accepts this continued behavior by our elected public servants - we cannot feign shock at the actions of children when bullying one another.
By accepting the unacceptable behavior of our politicians - we say to our children - bully bully and bully some more. If your child follows the lead of these politicians - they can expect that they may be elected, rise to the position of Cabinet Minister and may even become Premier.
By permitting our politicians to act this way - and in fact rewarding them with re-election - the message is clear for bullies - keep it up - you too can rise to the top.

Darin King about to investigate OCI Operations? Fin in Mouth disease!
So our Fisheries Minister continued today - on a local talk show - to prove that his government is vindictive toward critics.
The Minister was all over the place unsure if he was against criticism or not - for punishment or not - in charge or not - or simply too frustrated to do his job.
The Minister now wants to restate his position from yesterday - when he informed Newfoundlanders and Labradorians that they may be punished if they criticize the government. Today he removed a million bucks from the FFAW because union chief Earl MacCurdy said the government was not spending it's money in the right places - within the industry.
So the Minister wants us to believe that of the over 50 million spent by government - only 1/50th of which is for special projects with the union - the only immediate concern was that of the FFAW. Darin you believe that Earl was saying that their projects were not worthwhile - so it was okay to start by cutting that?
No you did not believe that Minister King - do not lie. The FFAW was questioning how some investments of the government in the fishery might not be the best investments - so you - without any investigation cut the funds of the one group that spoke out?
Have you in any way contributed to the well-being of OCI? Have the people of Newfoundland and Labrador contributed any funds in any way whatsoever to that company? Has the government provided in any way - policy decisions - that were favourable to OCI?
I recall that OCI criticized King for denying its request for unprocessed export. The government has granted them exemptions in the past - right? Now that Ches and Company have criticized the Minister - how will they be punished?
King went on to talk about the frustration he feels when the FFAW talk about things that he (provincial fisheries Minister) does not have jurisdiction over (fish quota's). Minister - has the government stepped in on quota allocations before?
Where did OCI get all these assets anyway? Was FPI sold? What was sold? Buy it back.
While we are at it - now that OCI has criticized government - will you Minister King launch a full review of their operations and determine if government should be supporting anything at all that it asks for?
As for pointing the finger at the feds and saying it's them not us - and we can't criticize them because they punish critics - the same way you do - then we are all in a mess.
Perhaps it's time for Darin to be shuffled before he puts more fins in mouth.

Rumors abound! Run her out of Town - if you speak out you will be targetted!
Today is gearing up to be a very interesting day.
For those of you who heard Paddy Daly today on Back-Talk - did you hear his conversation with Doug Stanley, an independent pharmacy owner in Burin. Somewhere in that conversation Paddy asked Doug - do you think the problem with getting a meeting with the Minister is personal - with one of your members or somebody who represents you?
Interesting question don't you think - where did that come from. Do tell Paddy.
Earlier today a member of the CICPO asked me if a meeting was denied because I was the Executive Director of the group. Apparently he had been speaking to a representative of another group who suggested this was the case. That follows many other instances out of this group - raising the same question. Interesting point.
Further I have been subject to Ministers and the Premier herself allegedly telling members of the CICPO that - in a round-a-bout way - you should get rid of her. Even gone as far to ask me to remove my blog or make me stop blogging.
I remember another Executive Director under the same threats. I remember Rob Ritter of the NLMA being lambasted by the Premier and Minister with his professionalism under attack.
We know Premier - if you do not agree with government and you speak out - you will be targeted and they will attempt to shut you up. Just imagine this - and imagine that it is acceptable behavior in a mature democracy.
Then there's another Minister directing pharmacy owners to stay off the airways and get to the table. And yet another member who spoke out against a government policy in the past - was chastised - once again behind his back by another Minister.
There are many more examples but this should suffice - to prove our democracy is under attack by Dunderdale and gang. Bullying is not only acceptable to them but is encouraged and used on a day to day basis.
How many people have put a PC sign on their lawn out of fear?
