Don't miss the REAL story in Ches Crosbie's comments on Muskrat

When an established and respected Newfoundland and Labrador lawyer provides the following statement - as a preamble for speaking on the Muskrat Falls proposed development - we must take stock of what we've become.

Quote: Ches Crosbie Telegram, February 3-2012
“I don’t want to get pissed on by the government,” he said. “Like anyone, I don’t want to make myself a target.”

Can you imagine how the ordinary citizen feels? How afraid are we? I would love to see the Telegram ask Premier Dunderdale and Minister Kennedy - if they felt responsible for this type of fear? Why would anybody feel they would be a "target" or get "pissed on" because they spoke in opposition to a development of natural resources or a public policy?

Sue, they are "petty dictator wannabes." Any disagreement or criticism is dismissed in an arrogant manner, or the person or institution is attacked and accused of bias.

It is high time all of us said:
"Enough is enough". I am personally sick and tired of petty politics and immature politicians trying to tell us how to think.

It is absolutely appalling that any citizen should feel compelled to issue a cautionary statement in advance of their legitimate right to express a contrary point of view. This culture of fear has been developed and cultivated by the Tories and our silent majority has stood by and let it happen. Shame on us!
