Another Great Show under your belt Sue, where your callers were allowed to speak up against the ills perpetrated against the fishery and the rest of our great coveted resources, without being impeded by Devils' Advocates.

The time is now overdue for the Political Grinches of Newfoundland and Labrador, Who Stole Christmas by giving away our coveted natural resources, to grow a large Central Canadian Economy for others, while supposedly representing our province, to come forward and grow a heart and restore Christmas for our people, by speaking out against what they did when they were in Political Power, heading up the Fisheries and Indstry Departments for the Canadian Government.

They need to speak up before they expire and try to overturn the damage they created in this province. That would be the best Christmas Present we could ever receive in our Province.

The best way for those ex-politicians to grow a heart is for them to speak up against a Centralist Economy and a Centralist Federal Government, even though they participated in structuring it. It is never too late to undo the damage to our economy that will accrue in the future from others having control over our natural resource base.

Thanks Sue for the 3 wonderful talk shows and please keep talking about the Fish and all other Natural Resource AND not to forget Human Resource givewaway. We still have a future in this province which we have to plan for.

Here is the essential problem: we gave up control of the greatest resource we ever had and allowed Ottawa to weaken it first and then basically destroy a way of life. It is our own fault in some ways, especially past governments, as our leaders had to go, cap in hand, to Ottawa for sustanance and let the feds dictate the terms.

The federal government sees us a spoiled brats who are always complaining but that is the arrogance that is Ottawa. We have logic on our side but no clout, and we never will, as long as the system is stacked against us. They treat us the way we have treated Labrador, to our shame, but we must continue to forge on. To give up is to court disaster so we must keep this and other important issues alive through a medium such as this.

The talk shows have allowed the government to hijack their air time and the hosts are not doing a good job of playing Official Opposition. They pose the soft questions but don't work too hard to get at the real issues. Sadly, with no House of Assembly in session most of the time, they are all we have had til now. Let's hope this show changes that!

Ottawa allowed our resources to be exploited for the benefit of other areas of Canada and for itself.

Cyril my way of seeing things are The Mother Government, the Ottawa Federal Government should have exercised better sense than it did with the handling of the fish resource that the province of NL passed over to it in 1955 for maintenace. They also should not have allowed 100% of the rest of our natural resources to be utilized and exploited for the benefit of creating economies for the rest of the provinces, without first seeing to it that the province of Newfoundland and Labrador's financial and economic needs were attended to from its own natural and human resource base.

And Cyril I have to agree on your statement "The talk shows have allowed the government to hijack their air time and the hosts are not doing a good job of playing Official Opposition. They pose the soft questions but don't work too hard to get at the real issues."
