Tell me again how this should be allowed!

So this little inaccuracy caused a bit of damage.
It is rural areas that will suffer - particularly the fishery.

Funny how the PC vote was pretty dead on - but the other little mess probably cost some seats for the Liberals.

I've been saying this for WEEKS now: Electioneering polls should not be allowed after the writ is dropped. No matter who's in power or who has the most to gain.

It is just undemocratic and manipulative for the worst possible outcome. It damages democracy.

Even though next time around it will most benefit the LPNL, it is still disgusting.

Ward, I am inclined to agree with you. These pollsters are tripping all over themselves to tell us how we are going to vote and I have no doubt they discouraged some voters.

More importantly though, we need electoral reform big time, including limitations on polling. We must find a way to ensure that the winning candidate in every district gets at least 50% of the votes cast or have some form of proportional representation.

As the results show, the PC's got 77% of the seats but only secured the support of 30% of eligible voters. We need to utilize online voting as well and work to try to engage the people who feel it is useless to vote. Again, that may go back to your concern about polls not being made public after the writ is dropped.
