Resignations and Arrogance - Len Simms? Intimidation?

October 06 2011 - 9:13 p.m.

So we all heard the news on September 14th that Len Simms quit his job as Newfoundland and Labrador Housing boss - to assist in the election for the Tories.

We also heard that many public servants cannot put a sign on their lawn, stuff and envelope, or wear a button - even when not at work.

We all know that Mr. Simms quit the last election too and then was rehired - but this one takes the cake.

Let's say you are a person availing of a housing unit from the crown corporation and Len Simms sees a Liberal sign on your window? Now we would not like to think that people might find that Mr. Simms is seen as impartial when making a decision.

Well here's the problem CLICK HERE
So has he resigned? Nothing like a bit of intimidation hey? Guess there's not enough people working for government to get that changed right?

Has he campaigned? Where and with who?

Hey media - what's up with that? Guess this is not the type of news you want to cover.

If Mr. Len Simms comes back again to his cushy apointed position, well then the Government policies and dealings are nothing but Corrupt, and I have to question Mr. Simm's sense of morality, as well. A person of his stature should know what is acceptable and what is not.

It is time for Government to be held Accountable for its practices and I do hope that this next setting will set out to make that possible.

Len Simms you should be ashamed of himself for abusing the electorate the way he has been, according to what has been written about here. He should do what is right this time around, please do not come back to our, the taxpayer's payroll. We have enough of being manipulated from our elected officials, we don't need people politically appointed to do us in, too.

The sad thing about these patronage appointments is that there are many more active ones out there, and they are as much dictators as the ones we elected, abusing taxpayers dollars.

Political Patronage has to stop! The question is will Ms. Dunderdale, Ms. Michaels or Mr. Aylward, whoever wins the Premiership put an end to Political Patronage? It is one of the biggest form of CORRUPTION in Politics and when it not only utilized to hire friends but to manipulate the electorate, it is nothing but UNADULTERATED CORRUPTION! PLEASE STOP IT! POLITICAL REFORM IS BADLY NEEDED!
