Dunderdale=Giveaway of Resources=Cheap power for Nova Scotia=Loss of our Future

The Population of the Province is down again from last year.

Where's the need for power?

Industry gone - people continue to go - where's the increase?

There will continue to be a loss of people - go to Nova Scotia for cheaper power rates and industry being developed there.

If you are looking for ship building - go to Nova Scotia.

If you are looking to fish - go to Iceland or go to China for processing jobs.

If you are looking for industry like pulp and paper, smelting, aerospace, auto sector, just move to Ontario and Quebec.

If Muskrat goes ahead - we will have set ourselves on a path of no return. All will be lost.

Dunderdale said last night in the debate that nobody has been able to show them where their figures are wrong.

Is their prediction on oil prices 20 years out - a fact?

Are their predictions regarding "need" for new power facts?

What a joke.

I can say that - although oil kept us away from most recessionary problems - doubling electricity rates will cripple business and industry and poison discretionary spending by consumers. It may very well cause a local recession.

The Premier also forgot the criticisms of the Independent Review Panel. Did they question anything?

The only scary thing in this election is the Muskrat Falls deal. It must be stopped.

The best comment in the debate was from Aylward when he suggested the Ms. Dunderdale should be the Premier of Nova Scotia. That was appropriate based on the Muskrat deal proposed.

Everybody is wrong except Nalcor, PC Cabinet, and Navigant.

Be prepared Newfoundland and Labrador - wait until Hydro HAS to be privatized and Gull Island will have to be developed by private interests. Of course they will also claim this new power will have to go through Quebec. Sold out!

How much time did the Premier spend talking about the benefits to Labrador?

This giveaway of our last remaining hydroelectric energy for the economic benefit of the Maritime provinces, while the electorate of Newfoundland and Labrador pays for it has to be stopped, but how can we stop it when it has already been written in the stars and agreed to for approximately 10 years?

Now that I am putting everything together that I have witnessed over the past 10 years in the Communication Media and which enraged me to the point I, and my fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians, reacted with many commentary pieces to Canada's National Media, over the smoke screens which were floated (we didn't know they were smoke screens) to confuse us and make things opaque, I now know we were duped.

From what I have observed over those 10 years, I have to say we are living in the most corrupt and non-transparent country in the World, and I know that is the same way matters came down the chute the 52 years prior that saw all of our natural resources lured away for the benefit of the other provinces and Ottawa itself.

I know some won't understand what I am talking about here, because I am sorting of talking in code language, but our National Government, Provincial Government (ruling party) in conjunction with the National News Media, know full well how they pulled the wool over Newfoundlanders and Labradorians and all Canadians eyes, since ex-Premier Danny Williams emerged on the scene.

If this project goes ahead and it turns out to be as bad as we think it can, given all the risks that seem to be built into the Contract in these uncertain risky Global economic times, the Federal Government/Ottawa should be notified we will hold it responsible and it should not be let off the hook for the bankrupting of Newfoundland and Labrador, when it happens.

The Federal Government wants this project to go ahead to save Nova Scotia and New Brunswick (the Maritimes) from certain economic death, since they have nothing going for them other than largesse from Ottawa, they have no natural resource base of their own, while the province of Newfoundland and Labrador is already doomed to fail with the risky Muskrat Falls Project. And ex-politicians of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador will have to share the blame, as well.

Please come to your senses all of you who are involved in this risky scheme at this precarious juncture in bad economic times.

I am not saying it can never happen but it must be put on hold for the foreseeable future until we can decipher that this Muskrat Falls Project can be a viable one. Please evoke your economic sense and think about what you all are doing here!!!!

For God's Sake all of you involved in this scheme give yourself a shake and Do What Is Right For Newfoundland and Labrador for once in our political life of being part of Canada. You, who are part of this harebrained scheme, know who I am directing my comments at and please STOP THIS PROJECT from going ahead at this point in time.

One big Question: Where is the Voice of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador on the issue of the Muskrat Falls Project?

We need to hear it as soon as possible.
