Something is wrong with this picture and most certainly the advertising. Peter Kiewit and Sons
So the Premier is delighted that Kiewit has withdrawn from a 30 year multi-billion dollar deal for Marystown and Newfoundland and Labrador. She is thrilled that Kiewit is too busy to bother with this.
Please read the statements from Kiewit's own website and ask yourself - does something seem a little off with this. The media of this province and the Opposition parties need to really dig this out.
Is there another deal made here? Does it have anything to do with the Lower Churchill? Is it to appease Quebec or Peter MacKay? Did the province not provide enough support? What does the Premier know?
One thing is for certain Newfoundland and Labrador and her people got taken again.
Just doing a cursory review of Kiewit history tells one that something just is not right.

What's up Premier? Will the media do the digging and ask the questions?

Is it possible that not only the Corporations that operate in our province are in cahoots with Ottawa, but also some members of our Provincial Government are as well?
It is very strange, indeed, that none of the large projects doled out by Ottawa ever come to our province. I can't help but think that not only the Corporations, but some of our politicians, if not all of them, well agree to something Ottawa wants, and in the meantime they are filling their own pockets and getting contracts for business they operate, while shafting their electorate. It is the same pattern followed for 62 years. Is it Blackmail?
We need an AUDIT and we need it immediately, since I detect something is corruptly wrong in this province and it must stop!!!. Why are we so poor off economically in Newfoundland and Labrador job wise, despite our endowment of so many rich resources, a great strategic location and the fact that Ottawa has dealt out so many contracts over the past 62 years that the province of Newfoundland and Labrador has never been a recipient of, yes, indeed, something really is drastically wrong. Fix it!!
Ask the potential politicians running in this upcoming election what they will do when they arrive in Ottawa.
We have to let them know that we detect Corruption has been the name of the game for the past 62 years as it relates to the province of Newfoundland and Labrador and we want it changed.
Once the Audit is done, if it is done by an honest Independent Auditing Firm,THAT WILL BE ANOTHER CHORE TO FIND A FIRM WITH HONESTY AND NO CONNECTION TO EITHER OF THE GOVERNMENTS),what, I suspect will be revealed will be the biggest Federal/Provincial scandal that has ever occurred in Canada. After all over the past 62 years Canada has delved out Trillions and Trillions of dollars in contracts and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador has received very little. On the other hand the province of Newfoundland and Labrador has contributed Hundreds of Billions of dollars worth of its raw natural resources, with its human resource having to follow their natural resources to the beneficiaries of our raw resources. What corruption!
