SCHOOL'S OUT day 3

Quidi Vidi has a new Queen and her name is Maria Afonzo

I shall announce events and report on them to my subjects.

Else let them eat cake.

Okay now this one was the best so far - Maria Afonzo - on her tour of the district in a kind of informal yet regal way allowed the subjects of Quidi Vidi - Signal Hill to get to meet her.

I absolutely love the district - so I can tell you as can Marilyn Pumphrey - a real ambassador for the area - that the district has wonderful community events although something called Newfie Night is ghastly.

So today with Randy Simms Queen Afonzo went through 4 events in the district and pointed out that announcements of such events would be part of her responsibilities as an MHA. I am wondering Maria - did you think it was part of your responsibility prior to you wanting a job?

What have you done on the public airwaves - in the past - to announce and comment on such community events? What have you done on the public airwaves - in the past - to talk about the public policy issues in the district and the province as a whole?

Let me help you out Maria - The Regatta was a wonderful event and many people showed up - many charities raised money and the races were spectacular. I tested all the wonderful Newfoundland and Labrador dishes. The children were having fun eating cotton candy and holding colourful balloons. I wonder should you consult Stephen Harper's image manager to pick out an appropriate hat to wear.

And then there is the annual garden party - just think of the Members Statements this woman could produce.

I'm sorry I've taken the fun out of your next few weeks.

So why do you hate Maria?

What did she ever do to you?

And why is it that Ryan Cleary can call you down to the dirt but you say nothing while this woman gets sliced to pieces?

Curious.

I do not hate anybody - if you wish to seek public office you should discuss the issues. The province and her communities are dying.

Why would somebody call an openline program seeking office and talk about BBQ's.

Outmigration - hungry children - student debt - the historic fishery - you know Quidi Vidi etc...

It was a shallow appearance and she wanted to gain votes by saying she attended events. The events themselves are important - calling to say you were there is not. Try and prevent the children of the people in all districts of our province from having to leave home to seek work.

Maybe elder abuse - seniors pensions - minimum wage - safety in the workplace - on and on -

Have you read the blog? Who do you think I am working for?

I was just wondering why Ryan Cleary can smear you and you keep your mouth shut and some candidate who did nothing to you gets sliced up.

I guess you want to keep it a secret.

Did you guys have a falling out? Was there a story he wouldn't run when you worked at the paper?

At least Sue had the guts to sign her name to what she wrote. You people who hide behind anonymity to sling your dirty little digs are disgusting. There are places like Facebook designed for bottom-crawling. As for Ryan Cleary, he has, i.m.o., about as much credibility as the "moonman". I'd be very disappointed if Sue were to dignify any assault from that source with a response other than to ignore it.

Geez Lloyd, chill. I'm just asking a question. There's no digs.

Mrs Kelland-Dyer,no one spells it out like you do my dear.

As for Ryan maybe he should worry about keeping his paper going. And stop attacking those that truely care for our beloved home.

And yes if you are an elected politican in public office ,get use to it .Your there for a reason .

Could somebody please fill me in on the feud between Sue and Ryan Cleary.I seem to have missed all this. I have read quite a number of Mr. Cleary's editorials and it seems to me that they have not often been too out of line from what Sue says. So what is his problem with her?
