Pierre Fortin - President of the Canadian Hydropower Association - probably put it best this week when he said:
"Not only does hydropower provide greater ecological and social advantages than any other energy source, it is also the best long term investment, adds Pierre Fortin. "Hydropower plants last between 50-100 years or more with refurbishment. This makes them the clean and environmental choice for today and tomorrow."
Fortin made the comment in a News Release this week announcing the Association's support for the latest Hydro Quebec project.
Is this something we really want to export. Say NO to the export of our future. Use the power in Labrador for industrial development and economic growth.
