Life...a beating heart. Can you hear it? Listen...listen close. What do you hear? Nothing. Listen. Nothing. LISTEN.
...trees sighing in disbelief; the frozen calm looming, menacing...
...rivers, icy veins threatening to burst, retarding the life giving substance in the murk beneath...
...ancestors dancing in the night skies calling, screaming for their stories to be heard...
...creatures, great and small scratching, gnawing , fighting for survival; the compressing snow mocking their fur padded limbs...
...Sun Dogs lamenting, crooning over darkness outliving light...
...a people born of hardship amidst the wailing of despair; frozen tears laboring to run down even colder frost flushed cheeks...
Listen...sadness...listen closer...despair, loneliness...listen still closer...cold, ice, wind and, WAIT.
What was that? It sounds like...
...the crackling of a fire emitting the promise of spring’s warmth;
...the laughter of children making angels in a snowy heaven;
...like the ‘swooshing’ and chattering of the otter, Labrador’s great frolicking jester, on a snowy roller coaster ride;
...like the twittering of the Grey Jay singing life’s song from it’s spruce needle paradise;
...like the Great Owl inquiring ‘who’ was trespassing in these ancient grounds;
...like the promise of spring from a babbling brook boasting beneath a blanket of snow;
It sounds like...life...a beating heart.

Somebody ask the question awhile back on how to get more of your articles on the screen. I gave you one idea of going into View and clicking on Text Size and clicking smallest, but I think I might have found a better way and that is to go into View and click- on Full Screen. To get back to where you were, all you have to do is go into View again and click-off Full Screen.
