Power Bills going UP? The Premier thinks so!

Does the Premier know something we do not.
If we are to listen to the Premier Island customers should expect a 34.5% increase in power very soon.
On Linda Swain's show on Tuesday night the Premier said when talking about power rates on the Island, "...you (Linda) and your residents are paying probably 12 cents (per kWh).
Now the Chronicle Herald out of Halifax is running a CP story which quotes the Premier as saying, "the residential rate for Island customers is approximately 12 cents."

Come clean Danny - are the power rates going up 34.5% in the near future or are you simply ignorant - or worse are you misleading and why?
The actual rate for interconnected Hydro or Newfoundland Power customers is 8.92 cents per kWh.

It is unacceptable that the man who is at the helm of developing the Lower Churchill - does not know what people are paying for power. This does not bode well for convincing people to move to Newfoundland and Labrador.
