Now it's the Politicians Turn

Election of Jerome Kennedy more important than Rural Communities

Sue's Blog has taken a crack at the corporate world this morning by taking VOCM - NewCap to task for hosting job fairs for Albertan companies.
The truth is the "new business opportunity" would not exist if current and past governments had not failed the people with regressive or failed policy.
If you could do a split-screen and put Danny on the escalator saying "we got it - we got it" and then show the 9000 people flocking to a hotel to leave Newfoundland and Labrador for work - you would have a quick glimpse of our history.
Another example of our politicians hard at work - Danny was on yet again this morning campaigning for Jerome Kennedy - and as he pointed out so were his caucus flunkies. They were all going door to door trying to defeat the new NDP leader Lorraine Michael - instead of dealing with the Stephenville mill or the Fortune and fishery disaster.
The truth is Danny wants every seat - and that is more important to him than rural renewal and building the real economy.
The evidence is there:
On the day that thousands of people lined up to leave our province - Danny and/or his caucus were campaigning for Jerome Kennedy. That demonstrates the Premier's priority.
As the Premier mentioned the Lower Churchill - Energy Plan - Energy Warehouse etc again today on-air Sue's Blog will follow up with discussion on his latest words in the next post.
Danny's drive for power - all of it - should concern everybody. It is time policies and priorities were determined by people who really care - the majority of average Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.
