Fallow Field legislation for Antimony? For Glenwood? For Central?

The antimony mine near Glenwood remains mothballed despite surging world prices for the ore.
This story in the Business Section of today's Telegram

The story by Rob Antle is informative and demonstrates the government's incompetence when dealing with industrial potentials.
The opening paragraph of the news item says it all:
"Officials with the provincial government have expressed surprise that an antimony mine near Glenwood remains mothballed, as market prices for the ore reached their highest level in two decades."
That's probably the most truthful (to be quite honest witcha) statement I have read in a while. Not a clue - not a clue! It could employ 60 people for 10 years the article explains - yet the provincial government or our Supreme Leader has not mentioned fallow field legislation in that instance - and this would be strictly a provincial matter - that Harper does not have to say "no" to.
So your royal one - your commoners would like to know if you plan to do anything with the company that owns and is sitting on it. VVC Exploration is - according to the story - more interested in focussing on its China assets. That's a surprise - I bet. I did not notice any info on Beaver Brook who own 3/4 of the asset.

So Premier and Ministers Dunderdale and O'Brien what's up with this? If we can employ 60 Newfoundlanders and Labradorians for 10 years and these guys just don't feel like doing anything right now - legislate them! Why not expropriate the property and while your at it get another bad deal that would see a smelter built in central for added value. Why ship the ore to BC - do it here at home and then see if you can get other jurisdictions to come here with their antimony for processing adding on another 50 years of employment.
I guess that would take a real leadership.

After the Tele and Sue's Blog took a smack at the lack of activity - Minister Dunderdale said something on a CBC report a month later...

She hinted at use it or lose it - I have not seen anything since. I will repost the story...
