Attention Minister Joan Burke - THERE ARE OPPORTUNITIES FOR STEPHENVILLE!

Job training not equally distributed: StatsCan

This headline is used in a Canada.com Story published Friday. I'm wondering what your Department and Government are doing to correct the glaring weaknesses identified in Newfoundland and Labrador.
First Issue
If the feds have only managed to drum up a couple of million for the older workers program - which by the way you have not complained about - and older workers are not likely to re-train especially when formal education levels are low. This according to StatsCan
Second Issue
Why are our young people less likely to train in Newfoundland and Labrador than Alberta and even more so in Manitoba? This according to StatsCan.
Considering the Premier feels our youth have to behave like homing pigeons and go to work in Alberta - because our labour market is failing and - considering you're driving older workers out of rural Newfoundland and Labrador from your failure to react to outmigration caused by federal mismanagement of ourfishery - give me your excuses for failing to deal with these alarming numbers from StatsCan.
HOW ABOUT YOU ESTABLISH A WORLD CLASS TRAINING FACILITY IN STEPENVILLE WHICH COULD INCORPORATE THE MILL ASSET AND PROPERTY AND THE AIRPORT?
THIS COULD REPRESENT ONE OF THE BEST TRAINING ASSETS IN CANADA WHICH WOULD BENEFIT MANY PROVINCES IN CANADA MOST IMPORTANTLY OUR OWN - CONSIDERING THE PENDING CRITICAL TRADES-PEOPLE SHORTAGE. WE SHOULD RECEIVE MONEY FROM ABITIBI - THE FEDS - AND THE PROVINCE TO DEVELOP AND GROW SUCH AN INSTITUTION IN COOPERATION WITH CONA.
IN THIS WAY WE COULD TRAIN PEOPLE TO BUILD WIND TURBINES - MAINTAIN MILL OPERATIONS - MINING OPERATIONS - FORESTRY OPERATIONS - HYDRO ELECTRIC OPERATIONS - AERONAUTICS - ETC. GET INTO SOME RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AND MANUFACTURING TESTING.
