What a pile of rotting Offal...

No offense to Simon's Blog
What I'm talking about is the garbage coming out of Loyola Sullivan respecting the removal of non-renewable resource revenues from the equalization formula.
Statements made to VOCM news - show the province is walking away from Harper's promise to remove the revenues. Sullivan says decisions have not been made yet on equalization changes. HOGWASH!
We have the letter Minister and Premier, now get on with it. The decision was made before the election - and just because it upsets Quebec's apple cart means nothing to us. The Atlantic Accord upset a few of them too - it didn't stop the Premier then so why now?
Please look at the letter to Williams from Harper - are you confused by the response? I don't think so - yet our provincial government is sitting on its a** and doing nothing to make the PM live up to a written commitment.
Something smells here - when Martin started to get antsy on the Accord changes the Premier hauled down the flags and put-er-up. When the oil consortium said no - he waved his hands bye bye and went seeking fallow field legislation.
Now as every day goes by Newfoundland and Labrador is losing money because Harper and of course dolittle Hearn are breaking their promise to our people. Tell me Premier will we be seeking retroactive payments let's say from about the first Harper budget forward? We should be, the PM did not say he was going to wait on this move, this was something he committed to do - not subject to anything else.
Why are we kissing Quebec's hind quarter and letting the PM surf into another election?
Is this what Quebec is charging to transmit power through the province?

It certainly does seem like it is starting to stink in the house of Assembly.

Yet another capitulation to our federal masters.

I fear as long as we stay in Canada as it presently exists it will never change. We are just avoiding the inevitable and the sooner we get on with it the better of we will be.
