Shelley wants to find ways to attract immigrants to Newfoundland and Labrador

OKAY Minister Shelley,
First can you kindly find ways to stop emigration.
Let me suggest to you, that we are now more famous for people emigrating than for our culture.

1.
The act of emigrating; removal from one country or state to another, for the purpose of residence, as from Europe to America, or, in America, from the Atlantic States to the Western.

or in our case from Newfoundland and Labrador to Alberta.
I think we actually qualify under this definition right?
Hey Paul do we have scores of people leaving their native land to live elsewhere?

Now you want to know:
1. Why Newfoundland and Labrador receives such a low % of immigrants to Canada.
Because they are encouraged by Ottawa or by their contribution somehow to settle in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. Further, you do nothing to encourage that to change, and finally immigrate for what? Doctors for communities you are shutting down? Nurses for the outports and are being wholesale resettled? Oil experts to take the place of our young Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who have graduated debt laden?
2. How to encourage more immigrants to come here.
Well separate from Canada, become a country, dictate our own policies, take back our 200 mile economic zone, keep all oil tax and royalties, build aluminum smelters and gas refineries, use our hydro to attract industry rather than deliver it wholesale to Quebec and Ontario, and take custiodial control of the nose and tail of the Grand Banks and Flemish Cap.
(yes the 200 mile zone would primarily be ours because we would be the country that possessed the majority of the coastline)
3. You just became aware of our low immigration stats relative to Canada?
You should have read the 6 part series Finding the Balance - and you would have complained then. (a couple of years ago)
Now see if you can put such passion in keeping our Newfoundlanders and Labradorians home instead of biting your nails while you await directions from Danny.

Unfortunately we have become so debt burdened separation is all but dream. What with 12 billion in Debt 2300$ for every man woman and child and at the rate of economic refugees leaving our province the per capita debt is increasing because of our capita decrease.

Ahh maybe we should buy some tickets on that power ball lottery in the states but even that is only 300 million before taxes.

Simply amazing when you consider NL has been a net contributor to Canada's Exports since our inception into this phony federation Of Ontario's Colonial/Federalism, Democratic/Imperialism centrist policies make no wonder Quebec wants to separate we all should be asking ourselves the same questions.

Do you think the seal protestors would consider paying down our debt?
