Listen Danny, Kathy, and our new Minister of Business-loss Kevin - any chance whatsoever that we might just see an aluminum smelter in Labrador?
OK here's the deal:
We are on major global shipping routes,
We are strategically located between the European, African and North American markets,
We have ports,
We have a perfectly located airport in Goose,
We have skilled tradespeople,
We have 2500 MW's of power,
THAT'S CHEAPER IF WE DO NOT HAVE TO TRANSMIT IS ALL OVER THE PLACE THROUGH OTHER PROVINCES AND STATES!
Why is it Premier we do not have a deal for an aluminum smelter? Did you ask the Icelanders about that during your trip - or were they having too much fun watching us spinning circles with our thumbs in our mouths trying to utter something about the fishery, forestry, oil, and hydro-electric power.
