Which is more important the History and Culture of Ramea or...

the legacy of Danny Williams.
That's an easy one.
So Ramea you deserve so much more than this.
In the late 1800's there salt fish and then quickly to fresh fish processing - then came 1992 and due to the mismanagement of the fishery by the Government of Canada the community collapses. But Ramea did not lay down and die...It rebuilt and planned for a prosperous future it deserves and is entitled to. I say "entitled", because somebody robbed the families of a future, they are victims of crime. Ecological assault in the first degree. Punishable by having to pay restitution. Yes the feds must pay until the stocks rebuild. Ramea did not kill itself. Ramea was not dependent on a non-renewable resource - it was and is dependent on a renewable resource, the fishery.
The problem is the politicians have no guts. They are letting you die. You must elect people who will fight to get compensation for your loss - and elect those who will work to rebuild what we have all lost.
Nothing less will do.
Ramea must survive - for if not what are we all about?
