Gutless and Callous

Well good morning Fortune. The brilliance of our elected officials is shining on your beautiful community.

Let me say this first. Tom Rideout and Loyola Hearn are gutless liars who have deceived the people of Fortune and Newfoundland and Labrador by claiming they had answers for communities which are failing due to the fisheries crisis.

They do not have answers and they are bankrupt of ideas and courage. Instead of forcing the Government of Canada to take financial and ethical responsibility for the failed ground-fish stocks they have callously surrendered their people for the good of the unknown.

Let’s get down to it. Loyola, do you think it takes real intelligence to write off a community and give them a 14 week transitional package. Do you feel good sending in a couple of officials paid for by the taxpayers to coddle the poor souls in that community as you slash their collective throats? Any idiot can close a community!

It takes real guts to take on Canada and make them pay for the liable mismanagement of this renewable and critical resource.

Hey Tom do you have any problem flushing 500 years of history down the toilet because you do not have the intestinal fortitude to do the right thing?

By the way where’s the Union? Whatever he’ll retire soon anyway right?

I cannot fathom the disgusting lack of integrity of the people who were elected to do what is best for the people.

I must say boys; on the eve of the Newfoundland slaughter which is the Battle of the Somme, you choose to stay in the trench and wait for the enemy to come shoot you. Just don’t have the courage to go over the top do you?

I am so impressed at your backbone which has apparently lost its vertical position and is now comfortably horizontal.

To top it all off, we the people, say ok that’s just the way it is. Barry will own all the fish and the Sullivans will run it. Oh and Loyola Sullivan, do you still believe you are not in a conflict of interest as it relates to fish processing?

Boy that think tank summit must have gone splendidly at the hotel. Ok boys let’s shut er down, that’s rationalization.

I wonder; after being the only country to voluntarily give up our sovereignty are we going to be the first people to render ourselves and culture extinct?

Can you guys move on, go away, retire, and/or resign?
