If you listen clearly to this government and it's reasoning for most every decision it makes - a pattern will become obvious.
They blame experts including judges, engineers, health care boards, school boards, municipalities, consultants (both from NL and other provinces), doctors, nurses, pharmacists, economists, CEO's, and "stakeholders".
When they are not citing the above - they say the responsibility lies with the feds or better yet the Liberal Government from a decade ago.
Think for a moment - that makes the politicians redundant. This includes all their staff and entourage.
What's worse is that they appear not to understand themselves exactly why the decisions are being made. In other words - if they are getting incomplete, inaccurate, or nonsensical advice - they wouldn't know it anyway.
Add to that the tribal level of partisanship preventing them from listening to any expert who might disagree with something they are doing.
All in all - it appears they have made themselves redundant and have this province in a state of economic disrepair.
I await with both amusement and deep concern - what expert they will place in front of themselves next. Unfortunately there will be no surprise coming from the backbenches; head bobbers became redundant decades ago.

Sue, this is what makes the current situation so heartbreaking and incredibly frustrating.
However, none of it is going to matter once the fiscal white elephant known as Muskrat Falls comes into play....every fiscal decision we make for years to comes will be negatively impacted by that colossal mistake.
