When listening to the radio, watching television or reading the newspapers about events in this province, there seems to be a missing link. One that bridges all that information together and provides a way for people to contribute, express or lobby their concerns in their own time. After-all, this is our home and everyone cannot fit in Lukie's boat and paddle their way to Upper Canada, nor should we!
Sue, as I am sure you know, Dean MacDonald is a member of the St. John's old boys club that still dominates politics and business in this province. The ruling elite don't have to answer to anybody; they let their political flunkies in the PC party do their dirty work in public while they pull the strings behind the scenes.
That, in my humble opinion, is precisely what is happening with Muskrat Falls. The elites stand to make hundreds of millions at rate payers' expense but want to give it the appearance of legitimacy by having the government push it through.
If the Liberal Party allows Dean MacDonald to assume the leadership,it will simply be handing control to the boys who actually run everything behind the scenes.
How pathetic that we used to have dictators inside government and now have the same people controlling the financial affairs of the province from outside the perceived corridors of power.
