The courts in Quebec have authorized 2 class action suits over the past week.
The latest is the Quebec pharmacy chain Pharmaprix (Shopper's Drug Mart) optimum points.
Earlier in the week it was Aeroplan points.
The basic claim is that these companies unilaterally devalued points without advising customers in advance.
I will add a third to this equation - Air Miles - they too have been devaluing points.
Because of legal jurisdictional issues the Quebec suit is restricted to customers there.
It definitely is not fair and I would suggest not legal for these companies to con consumers.
So Ches - A question - can we do it here?
Shopper's Drug Mart, Air Miles, and Aeroplan cardholders deserve justice on this.
