Sue, they look like they are attending a funeral rather than being happy campers thinking of how much they can accomplish during thir next four-year reign.

Enven though I knew it already, I was particularly pertubed this week when Ms Dunderdale finally announced that the actual opening date for House of Assembly will be MARCH 5, 2012. That is 145 days after the election of October 11, 2011. That is only 8 days less than the previous record set by the Great Danny. It is, as Russell Wangersky wrote in Saturday's Telegram about the fishing admirals, basically rule by decree.

We will see a debate but no vote on Muskrat Falls in the House when it finally does open, but no vote. How is that possible? Are the members simply able to debate an issue and not vote on it? This is not Question Period! This would be a full scale debate so what is the point if she is going to turn around and say, "I don't care if it is right or wrong, I gave you a chance to voice your concerns, my mind is made up, and I'm going ahead with it anyway".

This group doesn't care what the people think. They are safe for 4 years and will do what they want! So, getting back to the photo, why do they look so glum?

Sue, I wish I could post here my utter disgust over the preying of our natural resource base over the past 550 years for the benefit of others, for the first 450 it was the Fishing Admirals of England to satisfy the economic Colonial rulers needs of England, then the Canadian Political Admirals took the reigns to satisfy the economic needs of Colonal Canada for the benefit of building a healthy Central Canada, but our very own politicians cannout be exonered of using our resources to pad their own pockets. You can rest assured they didn't toe the line for Ottawa just for the sake of doing so.
