Where's Danny

The Senate Hearings are going on prime-time - repeated every day - will probably be on all summer but our Premier is not showing up.

What's up Danny?

Lorne Calvert is placing before all Canadians Saskatchewan's position. Rodney MacDonald has done the same for Nova Scotia. Danny is a no show!!!!

Danny had the ability to relate our position to the Senate and to Canadians nation-wide. He was invited. He says he was invited just yesterday - Bill Rompkey says he thought we was invited a few days ago. Which is real?

None of this makes sense.

ABC - anything but conservative he says - I will tell Canada he says - but he would not show up at Senate Hearings where Canadians were watching. And the media ????
Where have they been? Where are they?

The Premier would not present our position to the Senate but he will to a university or an Empire gathering.

Then Crosbie appears - in his defence he did state he was there on his own - not on behalf of the Province but he was talking about the Accord changes and even agreed to a cap. Not our position. The Premier pointed out Crosbie would be there. What a scam.

CBC TV then shows a quote from Crosbie talking about the promise Harper made - but - it followed a lead in by Debbie Cooper who said Crosbie may be Conservative but does not support this Conservative government. This is not true - right before the Crosbie quote used - Crosbie said he did support this government and will continue to support the government. Remember Crosbie was Harper's Atlantic Election Chair.

First of all "Welcome back!" to the Blogosphere Sue.

One "uncharitable" and verbose blogger had you listed as "Road Kill" from the blogging world when you hung up the keyboard for a little while.

Most of us though knew that you would be back after a brief sojurn.

As for Danny's absence from the Senate Hearings.

I choose to believe that he indeed did not get the invitation until the twelth hour. At least until I am presented with facts confirming otherwise.

It is not like Premier Williams to miss jumping on this "soapbox" provided by the Hearings.

I suspect he would "pay" to get such free Canada wide coverage.

Bear in mind they will most likely be replaying this all summer on CPAC.

If he did pass up this opportunity willingly then he is a "few cards short of a deck" in his ability to recogize an opportunity to promote the Province's position to Canadian voters.

Welcome Back Sue!!
