Newfoundland and Labrador versus Quebec- winner gets the ear of the Prime Minister.
Quebec does not agree to removing non-renewable resource revenues from the Equalization Formula. They are not as fortunate as Newfoundland and Labrador - Alberta - and Saskatchewan with their oil and gas potentials. They are however rich in renewables such as hydro-power...They want renewable revenues removed.
So what can the latest poll tell us about our chances to win the battle for Stephen Harper's policy heart.
Read the comparison between 2006 and 2007 and you will quickly see that Quebec has already won the battle - now who will win the war?
What Quebec and also Ontario want - Harper will deliver - that's why Danny should have guaranteed the new Atlantic Accord additional agreement would protect us from changes to the general equalization formula.
