Let's talk Fibre
Stephenville needs a New Approach
Stephenville needs a New Approach
I have come to the conclusion that to get attention from this government - you might want to try talking about fibre - the problem is Stephenville is talking about the wrong type.
No Stephenville does not need more cereal in it's diet - and apparently wood fibre is not of real interest to Minister Burke - so guys get with the program.
The next time the former mill workers want to meet with government or one of their MHAs try saying, "Good Morning we would like to meet with the Minister to talk about the optics of fibre", this just might get her/his ear and you might get a hearing.
Start talking about strands not strips of wood or maybe broadband instead of bandsaw or even bandwidth instead of stump height or better cable line instead of timber line. Start predicting the need for cable poles and maybe you can process them at the old mill or the little wooden wheels that the fibre optic cable is rolled on and according to Minister Taylor secured with some duct tape. Maybe you can get a contract for tooth-picks to clear the mouths of those who double-talk you or you could perhaps clear the path of the cable to be run on the ground or up a pole.
In order to get rid of your "persona" non grata image you need to speak the language. There are telco's and cableco's and you should have a fibreco. Tell your Minister you want NetWork not NetUnemployment and you would like her to deal with your problems at high-speed not dial-up. When the Minister asks if you got her message - respond "Roger(s) That". And let her know that all things are well not only upstream but allstream.
Yep I think it's all in the approach and Stephenville needs some stranded fibre with good optics to promote highspeed solutions with a NetWork objective.
