Letters to the Editor and update to Ex-Mill Workers Site

Congrats Lorraine and "Yes Sir" Danny

Well I would just like to say congratulations to Lorraine Michael on her recent victory over Danny (I say this because all due respect to Mr. Kennedy, but we all know he to would most likely end up as a “No Voice” back bencher under the Williams regime). I guess this is a wake up call for the PC’s they are not all powerful under there leader. Danny and all his loyal “yes sir, yes sir” team pounded the pavement personally and still they could not defeat Ms. Michael. As far as I can see in this situation, Lorraine’s victory was due to her hard work, and how she can relate to the issues, but more importantly it’s clear shot over Danny’s bow that people are sick and tired of Williams’s and his “Look at me I am your hero and savior” persona . While in actual fact all this regime is doing is irreversible damage to our province.

One reader says the Commission of Government has Returned
We are back in the days of Commission of Government. There is a parliament, but it is only a mock parliament that serves merely as a front for an oligarchy where the real power resides. If Danny had his way he would do away with it all together. He has already said that he considers it a waste of time.
The clique at the helm, are a small group of Danny's buddies where he rules as if by Divine Right, and given his standing in the polls he has no reason to doubt that he has that authority.
There is Alistair O'Reilly, Commissioner of Fisheries , with John Risley and Bill Barry serving as his deputies. There's still a few bucks to be made in the fisheries if only they can get it out of the hands of the riffraff and organized properly.
Doug House is Commissioner of Culture , Trade and Rural Development, (got some pretty definite plans in mind for the outports),
and Dean McDonald is Commissioner of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources. (What matter if he picks up a few million here and there. Expertise like his doesn't come cheap.)
But none of them really have a specific portfolio. This is just a game for them . They are an elite club of businessmen who get together over cocktails to play with the numbers. The scene on Kenmount Road a couple of days ago played right into their hands. The fewer pesky peasants there are to pester with their unreasonable demands the better. O'Riley certainly doesn't need them for the kind of fisheries he has in mind. Some drastic changes have to be made, right, boys!!! Let's get this Consultation thing on the road so that the dumb-dumbs will think that they are part of the re-forming process.
