The Day is coming for the truth on Hydro - Dear Dean,

Were you around the table when the Guaranteed Winter Availability Contract (GWAC) was ratified in 1999?
You were at the hotel selling it on behalf of Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro to the media. You were Tobin's point man and the person keeping the intellectual knives out of Roger Grimes back.
You are now the Chair of the Board for NLH - selected personally by Danny himself - your business buddy.
You and Danny are to be commended for the political stunt of the century - when you stomped off and actually resigned over what you termed would be a "bad deal" for Newfoundland and Labrador ( The Grimes negotiations with Hydro Quebec on Lower Churchill). The negotiation was never completed and the deal was not signed.
Now for me - the proposed deal was not to my liking - for a couple of reasons which I will post tommorrow - along with the information on the negotiations - but for you Dean - it should have been a much improved position from the deal you would have supported under Tobin.
You are a player my boy - but not for the people of this province.
Your charade under Roger Grimes was simply a political favour for your buddy Danny. We will wait now to see if Persona picks up some government cash for another fibre-optic line right Dean?
Anyway the deal between Tobin and Bouchard failed - where we would have seen Quebec own 1/3 of the Lower Churchill! You were the Chairman of the Board of Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro - CF(L)Co - LCDC - and GIPCo. You were the head honcho under Roger Grimes and Paul Dicks as Energy Ministers. You did however get sucked in by Quebec again by losing the deal on the whole project while signing yet another side deal on the Upper Churchill Power. Remember that Dean - when you were sworn to secrecy on a secret deal until Tulk as Premier made you speak.
So there you were at Hotel Newfoundland - sat up with Bill Wells and Maureen Green (since removed by Danny) trying to back a deal which gave Quebec more guaranteed power for less than 2 cents per KWh at todays date. I was there - I was asking the questions - remember?
So you fiddled around with the Liberals - did what was necessary - anything to stay in the game to be a player on Lower Churchill development and contracts.
You Dean also wanted Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro privatized - that is probably the most sickening part of this - many of the people who would have sold our Crown Jewel to investors such as yourself - to make money by selling us power for the rest of our lives - are still skulking around. You see Cable was not enough for you - I mean ya know how many monopolies are too much for such an up and comer.
No doubt you blind-sided Roger with your resignation stunt - but for people like me - who know the story - it was typical. You are more and more like Doug House each day - hanging around with your wisdom - that has produced nothing beneficial for the people of the province.
What did you do in your last stint? Well under Clyde you wanted to privatize Hydro - under Tobin you wanted to giveaway the Lower Churchill and got sucked in for another chunk of cheap power - and now under Danny - trying to get some wind and gas are you my buddy? And I know you fellows want the Lower Churchill - there's gonna be some 6 billion in contracts for that.
Geez - if all that was not enough - you get caught with your knickers down below your knees trying to get in on the uranium action.
Do you know how long you've been trying to get in on something related to energy - and now we got the crew - Danny and Dean.
Trying to dump Lower Churchill Power to Ontario - and through Quebec - not for Labrador industrial development - so what are you at now?
Now Hydro is doing deals on wind power where the Italian government owns part of the project and we do not. How much is enough Dean - when will you stop trying to put all your fingers in every energy pie. What's up with the gas? What do you want with that resource.
It's laughable looking at you pose for picture after picture in the Annual Reports of Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro - but now you are where you need to be - back at Hydro with your best bud and business partner as the Premier.
Only one problem left - I'm still here and I will watch every move you make relative to the energy resources in this province.
Over the next couple of weeks - I will lay it all out there - and start the public campaign of truth as it relates to your past and present with energy resources in Newfoundland and Labrador. Let the people decide when they hear it all. You fooled many of the Liberal MHA's and Ministers and you were chums with some - but you have not fooled me and others who know the difference.
Solid Gold perfomances leave much to be desired at times like these.
