That is clearly the feeling of Loyola Hearn - Federal Minister of Fisheries and Oceans - Tom Rideout - Provincial Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture - and of course Danny Williams - Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.
On Friday these 3 men sat down and introduced a discussion paper - that will be used for province-wide consultations on the fishery. The Document entitled "Fishing Industry Renewal" is 54 pages long and does not once - include the word SCIENCE - not once include the word MISMANAGEMENT - and only once the words FOREIGN OVERFISHING - so take the paper and throw it in the garbage.
Another complete embarrassment!

The government of Newfoundland and Labrador, your union and other politicians have just accepted a joint paper with the feds - that essentially clears them of responsibility for the destruction of our fishery - and now they want you to take the consequences!
DO NOT BE FOOLED OR BULLIED BY THESE PEOPLE - GIVE THEM THE HEAVE-HO
