Hang on there's More on Loyola's Take on the World

The Hamilton Spectator was doing a wrap-up of editorial pages around Canada and highlighted Loyola's various ramblings.

Here's the section dedicated to our Minister from the Telegram

Witness this quote from a Loyola Hearn release announcing wharf work in British Columbia: "Canada's New Government wants to make sure that these wharves and breakwaters are safe, and do their part to keep local economies strong."

Or this release naming a coast guard cutter: "Canada's New Government is particularly interested in public safety."

Or this one, on bottom trawling, that begins: "Canada's New Government is seeking to keep the right balance . . ." and ends with "Canada's New Government will continue to lead the world . . ."

Such deliberate retooling of language is reminiscent of the famous "War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength," from Orwell's novel 1984.
