is how Loyola explained he felt from criticism on his Ottawa performance. His indignation of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians was demonstrated as he explained to the NTV reporter that he was blamed for everything that goes wrong in the province - and nothing right.
What exactly is this liar talking about? He made commitments to the electorate during the last election and he is not delivering - worse he has done a 180 on issues such as custodial management and shared fisheries jurisdictrion. This is not our fault Loyola - it is yours. When you preach, for years, from the opposition pulpit about foreign overfishing and then are fortunate enough to serve the people in Fisheries portfolio - you do not walk out one day and say "I have chosen diplomacy", and not expect people to be critical.
This is their lives you are playing with - something you don't seem to mind doing from your Central Canadian office. You are stabbing us in the back with every opportunity and you don't give a damn. When you do not take this province's side on issues of critical importance you are a traitor. I read a quote of yours recently where you said, "I could be a hero if I sent the gun-boats offshore..." or something close to that (same meaning).
You would be a hero Loyola without sending out a dory let alone a gun-boat if you turned your back on Harper and walked from your lucrative position when Harper did not support fallow field, or you exposed those opposed to custodial management, or insisted that Harper live up to his written promise to remove non-renewable resources from equalization, or revealed the details of a deal reached with the anti-seal harvest group, or gave us a list of commercial fishery license holders, or did something with quotas to benefit your people.
Water off a ducks back? What you meant to say was - to hell with you suckers - I got mine.
By the way - your buddy Peter is making great strides in putting Nova Scotia on the map (see story) while you become indoctrinated in the thinking that Canada is coast to coast from Halifax to Victoria.
