Minister Hearn - Where is our Saltwater Fish Marketing Corporation?

As readers to Sue's Blog may remember - I am running a series on Crown Corporations and Agenices in Canada.
One of the corporations, The Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation, was of great interest as it deals with the feds assisting those provinces with a commercial freshwater fish industry.
Review the Post

So now Loyola has a News Release out announcing new appointments to the FFMC.
My question - Now Minister where may I find the Saltwater Fish Marketing Corporation and when will the head office move here? How many Newfoundlanders and Labradorians will be employed?

HEARN ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENTS TO THE FRESHWATER FISH MARKETING CORPORATION AND THE GREAT LAKES FISHERY COMMISSION

September 15, 2006

OTTAWA - The Honourable Loyola Hearn, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, today announced the appointment of Mr. Peter A. Beatty as the Saskatchewan Director of the Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation (FFMC). Minister Hearn also announced the appointment of Mr. Bob G. Lambe, as a Canadian commissioner to the Great Lakes Fishery Commission (GLFC).

"I am very pleased that Mr. Beatty and Mr. Lambe have accepted these positions," said Minister Hearn. "I would like to congratulate them both. Their wealth of knowledge and experience makes them excellent choices for the FFMC and the GLFC."

The FFMC is a Crown corporation established in 1969 under the Freshwater Fish Marketing Act to improve returns to freshwater commercial fishers in western Canada, while operating in a self-sustaining basis.

Mr. Beatty is currently the Vice Chief of the Peter Ballentyne First Nation in Deschambault Lake, Saskatchewan. He was Manager of the Ossey Co-op Fish Packing Facility from 1976 to 1993.

The Great Lakes Fishery Commission was established in 1955 by the Canada/U.S. Convention on Great Lakes Fisheries. The GLFC is comprised of eight commissioners (four appointed from each of the United States and Canada) and one U.S. Alternate commissioner. In Canada, the Commission's program is managed by Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Sea Lamprey Control Institute of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Bob G. Lambe of Sarnia, Ontario holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario's Ivey School of Business. Currently he is the Regional Director General of Fisheries and Oceans Canada's Central and Arctic Region.
