Attention Stephenville

Attention Stephenville
Please read the quote below - from a story in the Lincoln County News

"Discussion of how energy impacts the economic picture then followed. Richardson believes that there's an opportunity for the state in renewable energy products. "I think we can make this one of the centers of this kind of manufacturing, if we set our minds to it." He spoke of working with Trans Energy Canada in wind power production, which generates a tremendous amount of energy to offset any future needs for Maine to import power. "We're an exporter currently, anyway," he said.
The Canadians are looking for Maine companies to invest in wind-power and manufacture turbines."

Considering the tremendous interest in wind energy and that Canadian Interests are very involved,
Considering the government was willing to subsidize a significant package for Abitibi,
Considering the significant infrastructure already available,
Considering there is fed money for this type of development,
Considering the availability if trades-people, and
Considering the cargo oriented airport,
It is time federal, provincial, and municipal politicians approach this and other Canadian firms looking for places to manufacture wind turbines to see if they can entice them to Stephenville.
