Metso to supply a new TAD tissue machine to Georgia-Pacific
Metso Paper has been selected to supply a new tissue machine to Georgia-Pacific Corp. The new through-air-dried (TAD) machine will produce premium products as part of the company's recently announced investments in its North American Consumer Products business to meet increasing consumer and customer demand.
The Metso machine will have a wire width of 204 inches and a design speed of 6,000 feet per minute. The delivery will include a complete TAD tissue machine with an OptiFlo II TIS multilayering headbox with dilution control, Periformer LW-C former, Honeycomb® Through Air Drying, OptiReel, complete machine ventilation systems, stock preparation, and erection and startup services.
This will be the fourth Metso TAD machine supplied to Georgia-Pacific.
