Super Minister Chuck Strahl has come through with money that Loyola could announce.
Now you're getting the idea Minister Hearn.
Let me see now, this relates to 2 federal programs under agriculture that deal with environment and water issues on the farm.
What Loyola did was hang on to Chuck and get him to announce the Newfoundland and Labrador portion here with him. And to tell you how popular and competent Super Strahl is, Dunderdale got in on the action too.
Newfoundland and Labrador will get $500,000 of the $110,000,000 Government of Canada program called Greencover Canada which covers the period from now to 2008.
Newfoundland and Labrador will get $700,000 of the $60,000,000 Government of Canada program for the National Water Supply Expansion Program.
Now Minister how about coming up with a guaranteed income and early retirement program for the fishermen and plant workers under your Department, the DFO.
I think if you give Chuck the reins he can pull it off for our rural areas.
But Loyola you were right in getting the Super Minister to make the announcement with you - perhaps some of his commitment and competence will rub off.
