Attention Newfoundland and Labrador MP's

12 Conservative MP's from Saskatchewan have written PM Harper a letter expressing their position on the Conservative Party's promise last election - to remove non-renewable natural resource revenues from the equalization formula.
The Province of Saskatchewan will achieve significantly higher revenues if these resources are removed.

In a letter to Danny Williams dated January 4th - 2006 Stephen Harper states,
"We will remove non-renewable natural resource revenue from the equalization formula to encourage the development of economic growth in the non-renewable resource sectors across Canada."

VIEW THE COMPLETE LETTER OF PROMISES

This is important to Newfoundland and Labrador and would include revenues like those achieved through the Voisey's Bay Development.
The problem is Quebec is opposed to the policy.
The 12 Saskatchewan MP's are not standing for it - they wrote Harper a letter which in part advised the PM that the seats would not be safe if the PM does not live up to the promise.

Where are our MP's on this? Where is our own Premier? Remember his reaction the last time a PM was going to ignore an election promise?
