The Aftermath Sea State - Surfing in Fortune Bay?
Hope you enjoy the great scenery and hope you are all safe after the storm.
Hurricane Leslie as it hit this morning 7am Fortune Bay
The wind gusts are high - temperature currently 19 degrees and spits of rain. 9:30 am
There was significant rain overnight - however the electricity has not failed and power has been constant. This area is serviced by Nalcor not Newfoundland Power.
The video below was taken at 7 am this morning at Seal Cove - Fortune Bay as Leslie was making landfall to the east.
Currently the sun is in and out - the gusts are subsiding and the temperature is 22 at 1 pm.
I hope everybody is keeping safe.

Video Update Fortune Bay Hurricane Leslie 6:30 pm
I will continue to monitor the storm as it approaches the South Coast.

I decided to take a closer look as the waves and wind are building in Fortune Bay ahead of Hurricane Leslie.

I will post pics as the day goes on and the seas continue to change.
It was a nice partially sunny warm day in Seal Cove Fortune Bay this morning.
It has now become very dark - the sea spray is travelling a hundred metres and the water is getting rough.
