The Twang from Abroad Powers - Martin - and Dalley

yet another short post...

I'm starting to wonder what the inside scoop is on future employers for certain of our public figures. Take for instance the Newfoundland and Labrador lost son Tim Powers - the Ontarian in him has certainly taken hold with his "ehs" and Ed Martin and Dawn Dalley of Nalcor - they are turning right into Haligonians (not a flower) with their "folks" this and "folks" that.

Hows (notice my change here) about some fun not funny speculation eh?

Tim the Conservative Voice Powers might be lining up to take on a federal seat - or even Dunderdale's job - after all - Upper Canada - needs some "trained" Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to carry the Ottawa torch. Maybe he is back to "burn all the boats" particularly with his Crosbie heritage.

Then there's Ed and Dawn perhaps not in Orlando  (not a singing group) preparing for a change of employer as Halifax based Emera continues its privatization march throughout our land - hauling natural resource wealth from the health and education budgets of our province and into the outstretched and "well connected" arms of the elite offshore.

If Kathy is listening to Ed and Ed marches to Williams Symphony No. 5 - then the fluid movement of redundancies will continue to mount for the 3 amigos.

Quite the state we have here - fibre optical illusions - power/s ball jackpot - and one continuing joke on us the people.

The next couple of years are going to be dandy. I wonder what's in the offing for us "gull"ible people.

Wonder what the New Dawn's Agreement 2014 will look like. I should look toward the Mc"Cleods" where James and Cathy MacBennett may be talking.

I wouldn't mind at all having Tim Powers representing us since he is knowledgable of the National and International Political and Economic Realms. He knows quite well how things work and don't work for the Economic Empires that were built within our sphere, but didn't work for the economic well being of the our province.

After saying what I said I am very reluctant to give Mr. Powers my blessing for what it is worth due to his partiality to the Federal Government's needs and wants and his family ties with that government that saw us get NOWHERE with building an economy, despite our great location and great endowment of natural resources, from the great expanse of Ocean and Air Space we brought into Canada, Minerals and Ores of all types, Oil, Energy potential that we brought into Canada and which all assisted in making Canada the country it has become since our entry into Confederation in 1949 til today.

If I knew that Tim Power would use his knowledge to bring his own province into the 21st Century and to dispel the many lies that were perpetrated on our province and our people by the Federal Government that made our province look like the basket case of Canada, I would be the first one to say to Mr. Powers "please Sir throw your hat into the Ring and let us all get down to bringing Newfoundland and Labrador forward to the position it should have held right from the very beginning of Confederation, given the true riches that we held in this well endowed resource filled place.

As long as I don't hear Mr. Powers talk about how we have been shafted here in this province from the give away of all of the natural resources in the raw state belonging to us that brought Canada into the G7 countries economically, I will not lend my voice or support to him in any way shape or form.

We don't want him to mouth of idle words like other politicians have mouthed off, words like not one spoonful of resource will I allow to be shipped out of our province in the raw state, we want complete honesty and transparency, no matter Who the politician that might vie for the job of Premier.

Mr. Powers just think about what your fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorian are craving, that being the use of our own natural resources to build the economy here we are deserving of, and God knows we are not a covetous people. We will only be too happy to give some of our riches to the rest of Canada from the earnings of the development of our resources right here in this province. We just don't want to accept a few dimes from them processing our natural resources and creating the weath. We want equality and a good life for all of our citizens right here in Newfoundland and Labrador and I think deep down in my inner being you Sir want the same as I do for our people.

Need for Change is rearing its head high and clearly shouting out for change. I think Mr. Powers could be up to the job if he is up to having the status quo of we are treated eradicated from the Ottawa mentality.
